One of my favorite ways to advertise is withFacebook. Facebook has been able to capitalize on its millions of users. That’sright millions. There are many ways to advertise on Facebook, but we will focuson posting, promoting and paid advertisements. Posting is free while promotingand paid advertising are paid. Businesses can advertise on Facebook for free bycreating a profile and posting information about their products and services. Businessesgain followers or likes by posting relevant information, having contests, offering giveaways, and by liking other businesses. The more likes a business/pageobtains the wider their information can be spread. The second way to advertise using Facebook is topromote a post. First you post acontest, giveaway, or any information. Then click the promote tab. The cost is $7.00 for one day of promoting. Duringthe promotion, your post will appear at the top of all of your friends’ newsfeeds. If you have over 800 friends then all 800 of your friends should see thepost. This is a very effective way toget some Facebook publicity fast. {{more}} Another way to advertise is through paidadvertisements. First, you create an image of what you would like to advertise.Second, create a catchy headline. Then you target your audience based on age, gender, events, and many other characteristics. Lastly, you choose your budget.Yourad will appear on the right column of your target audiences’Facebook accounts.Once your budget is reached the ad campaign is over. The best thing I love about advertising on Facebookis the statistics behind the posting, promoting, and paid advertising. Facebookhas a section called Insights located inside the Facebook platform. You gainaccess to this section once your business/page has reached 30 fans or likes. This tool enables users to see how many people have liked or unlike a business/page.The insights section of Facebook even analyzes the reach and engagement of eachof your posts. This can be helpful when determining what your audience likesand dislikes.
