Put Some Wild in Your Life
Volunteer at the Abilene Zoo! The Zoo is looking for individuals 18 years and older to lend their time and talents as a Zoo Education Volunteer. Education Volunteers will interact with the public through informative talks, animal encounters, and educational classes. They can also assist in the care of education animals. Volunteers are required to attend three training classes and contribute an average of 8 hours a month. Training classes are scheduled for Saturdays on February 23, March 2, and March 9. The deadline to register is February 20. “Being an Education Volunteer is a great way to support our Zoo, learn new things about our wonderful animal collection, and share your knowledge with others,” said Joy Harsh, Education Curator. For more information, or to receive an application, go to the Zoo’s web site at http://www.abilenezoo.org/, or contact Joy Harsh at 325-676-6487 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
