Pregnancy Resources of Abilene is a local non-profitorganization that provides free and confidential services. Our servicesinclude: pregnancy testing, pregnancy verification with ultrasound, STD testing and treatment for guys and girls,diapers & formula, classes, and community resource referrals. We see around3,000 clients a year and perform around 4,000 services. All of this is done ina loving, non-judgmental environment.               Our classes are top of the line, and just by attendingclasses you can earn points towards free baby items such as strollers and carseats. Here are just a few of our classes: {{more}}   Relationships for Healthy Parenting: This 3 class series provideseducation on defining your family dynamic, identifying and eliminating stressor violence in pregnancy, having respect and communication between partners andimplementing a plan of action. Happiest Baby on the Block: Sleepless nights and crying babies aretough on new parents. Learn an extraordinary approach to calm your baby. Youwill discover the step by step method to both soothing baby and having longersleep periods. This class includes a FREE DVD with methods and soothingsounds. Doctor Dads: This afternoon workshop helps Daddies learn the basicskills needed to provide compassionate care to your baby. This fun &informative class is taught by a Dad, for Daddies only. Breastfeeding Basics: One of the most priceless gifts you can giveyour newborn is the nutrition of breast milk, but you may need assistance whenit comes to making this gift a reality. This class is taught by a registerednurse with more than 30 years specializing in newborn care and 8 years as alactation consultant. What to Expect: This class gives expectant parents information onwhat to expect throughout your pregnancy. You’ll be given the latestinformation about your developing baby, nutrition, prenantal healthcare,understanding emotion, precautions and more. Parenting 101: These classes are designed to teach many skillsassociated with parenting. Topics will include educational material and supporton issues related to child development, parenting and family life. Newborn Care: This class will provide you with knowledge of theessential care for your newborn baby. Topics include common challenges, calmingan infant, reading cues, health and safety, eating and sleeping patterns, whento call the DR and more. The God Class: What’s God really like? Who is Jesus?
