Mayor calls for moment of reflection for families of Newtown, CT

ABILENE, Texas –Mayor Norm Archibald declared Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012 as a day of remembrancefor the families of Newtown, CT. Mayor Archibald extended an invitation to theentire community to join him and Abilene ISD Superintendent Dr. Heath Burns Wednesdayfor a brief time of prayer and reflection at the Abilene Civic Center lobby bythe Community Christmas tree at noon. “I’d like to invite all of Abilene to join me aswe stand alongside the city of Newtown, CT and offer our prayers, support andsympathy,” said Mayor Archibald. {{more}}   Mayor Norm Archibald speaks during a service held in memory and prayer for the families of Newtown, CT.
