Alzheimer’s Association Presents Free Workshop in Abilene

Abilene, TX – Tuesday, March 26, 2013 – The Alzheimer’s Association – North Central Texas Chapter will present a free educational program entitled “Creative Solutions: Tips to Manage Challenging Behaviors” on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. at the Abilene Regional Office, located at 301 S. Pioneer Drive, Suite 105, in Abilene. In addition to its impact on memory and other thought processes, Alzheimer’s disease can affect the way a person feels and acts. For many of the 5.4 million diagnosed individuals in the United States and their families, these symptoms are the most challenging and distressing effects of the disease. This program will discuss triggers for difficult behaviors and offer family members and other caregivers strategies and techniques for coping. {{more}} The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer’s research, care and support.
