Abilene, TX, April 10, 2013 – The Alliance for Women and Children A-Teens program offers a new summer program for middle school girls from June through August at the Alliance for Women and Children 1350 North 10th Street, Abilene. A-Teens All Access Pass to Awesomeness offers girls completing 5th – 8th grade a fun and safe place to hang out, experience new things, make friends, and spend their summer in a safe and encouraging environment. A-Teens’ mission is to guide young women on their journey to value their individual potential and discover their unique possibilities. All Access Pass to Awesomeness is offered Monday through Friday from 7:30am – 6:00pm and will offer a range of activities from karaoke, painting nails, outdoor activities, cooking, babysitting certification, service opportunities, arts and crafts and much more. There will be a perfect balance of time to hang out and structured activities to keep the teen girls engaged while developing their character. The program is led by A-Teens counselors who will provide mentoring and guidance while ensuring the teen girls are safe and having fun. {{more}} “We are very excited about the new summer program structure for A-Teens this year!” says Blake Skinner, Youth Programs Director. “Rather than having week-long individualized camps, we will be touching on all areas of interest all summer long. This will also give these girls an age appropriate, fun, and social place to be this summer rather than being in a program with elementary aged children or at home alone.” A-Teens All Access Pass to Awesomeness will begin June 10th and run for 9 weeks throughout the summer at the Alliance for Women and Children offices, 1350 North 10th Street. The cost is $20 per week if registered before May 31st and $25 per week thereafter. Registration is available at the Alliance office or online at www.AllianceForWomenAndChildren.org.
