ACU chair installed as president-elect of the Texas Association for Marriage and Family

Dr. Jackie Halstead, assistant professor and chair of marriage and family therapy at ACU, was recently installed as president-elect of the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, a state professional organization. {{more}}”Dr. Halstead’s appointment is a significant milestone,” said Dr. Jack Reese, professor of ministry and dean of the College of Biblical Studies. “It continues the legacy of leadership by ACU faculty among Texas marriage and family therapists. The appointment especially says something about Dr. Halstead’s competence and the respect with which she is held among her peers across the state.” The position is a four-year commitment with Halstead serving as president-elect for a year, president for two years and past president for a year. Halstead has served on the board of TAMFT for the past eight years, two as chair of the ethics committee and six as board member at large.
